I love riding time from one full moon to the next, dancing lightly on the new moon along the way. Here we pause to consider our dreams. It is time to gather supplies, images, ideas for our dreams so that we are ready to send them out to the next full moon.

This month, we are kissing the Full Pink Moon goodbye and turning our face towards the Full Flower Moon which arrives in May. As you gather and muse on your dreams, consider the questions of the Full Flower Moon: How would you like to bloom? Who are you when you’re in full bloom? (If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, ask for clarity, as this is the gift of the Full Frost Moon)

Between today’s new moon and the full moon, let these questions sit gently in your heart. Listen as they point out signs and symbols, drawing your attention to your dreams. I look forward to sharing our discoveries under the Full Moon.

I’m in love with my dreamboard. I love it when that happens. This one feels very clean and clear: lots of white and green and spaciousness. It gives me the sense of ease and quiet, time to reflect, time to enjoy. There’s an expansiveness to it too, like there’s more room for me, for dreaming, for creating. I see also our trip to France, having lovely time with Justin and being at ease with travelling.

The one thing that was an odd fit is the wood dresser and the sailboats. This is not a reflection of my style at all. It represents to me comfort in more expansive surroundings. I imagine (from the context of the pic) this is a part of likely a pretty big house, full of light and family and a dog. To me, the surroundings are luxurious but at the same time, there’s a sense of ease, of at-home-ness, of comfort in its own abundance. That’s something I’m dreaming of expanding into.

I love this ritual of preparing for dreaming starting with each new moon. It gives us a fresh start, a new beginning every single month. What dreams is it time to tend? That’s the question that will guide us in creating our dreamboards for the Full Pink Moon. (If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s time to think about what you would love in abundance as you prepare for the Full Harvest Moon)

Between now and the full moon, let these questions sit gently on your shoulder, pointing out signs and signals of what dreams lie ahead. I look forward to sharing our discoveries under the Full Moon.

I share all the time that when I first heard the phrase “Full Worm Moon,” I was less than enthusiastic, but as I discovered that this March moon is when the earth starts to soften and the burrowers of her soil find their way to the surface, I started to change my mind. What if we took our cue from spring and allowed ourselves to soften? What if we let what’s within us find its way to the surface? What tender dreams would be revealed?

Under this Full Worm Moon, open your awareness. Pay attention to the the dreams that are wiggling their way to the surface. What wishes are asking for your attention? What is beginning to emerge? Let your dreamboard guide the way.

As I put away my Full Cold Moon Dreamboard, I noticed just how many dreamboards I have made. I’ve been dreamboarding for decades, but I just had to tuck into my records and figure out when that became Full Moon Dreamboards. Originally the event was held at my sister Suzie‘s but she passed the torch in January of 2009 and I’ve been hosting ever since. It’s amazing how a regular practice like this keeps you so connected to your heart and reveals to you not only your dreams but also your personal aesthetic – your colours, your symbols, your shapes.

This board is still really fresh for me but here’s what I notice right away:

• The beautiful dewy freshness of the opening green flower. When I sit at my desk, this is the image that is right in front of my eyes, reminding me to bloom – and also reminding me that I don’t need to do anything to make that happen. I simply have to bloom.
• I notice there are several women on the board, at varying ages and stages. The woman with the ponytail is inviting me to get out and run  this month.
• The unfurling fiddleheads are my reminder that yes, spring is coming. It’s coming. Hang on.
• And on that note, the quote up on the right, which you probably can’t see,  is, “An optimist is the human personification of spring.” Susan J. Bissonette. It, combined with the clock, reminds me that spring is a state of mind not a time of life.
• An image that’s on my dreamboards all the time now (and that I might start collecting on Pinterest) is the long table and many chairs. This represents creating together – workshops, art journal days at my place, entrepreneurial buddies. One of my favourite parts of putting on a theatre production is the early days when you meet around the table – doing readings, working with designers. It’s such a fresh, collaborative time, right at the beginning.
• “Get in the ring” is a bit of a calling forth (as we say in coaching lingo). It’s time to step up and put myself out there in a brand new way. I wonder what that’s going to be!

I’m in love with this board and looking forward to the fresh, bold and beautiful places it will guide me this month!
