I love riding time from one full moon to the next, dancing lightly on the new moon along the way. Here we pause to consider our dreams. It is time to gather supplies, images, ideas for our dreams so that we are ready to send them out to the next full moon.

This month, we are kissing the Full Pink Moon goodbye and turning our face towards the Full Flower Moon which arrives in May. As you gather and muse on your dreams, consider the questions of the Full Flower Moon: How would you like to bloom? Who are you when you’re in full bloom? (If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, ask for clarity, as this is the gift of the Full Frost Moon)

Between today’s new moon and the full moon, let these questions sit gently in your heart. Listen as they point out signs and symbols, drawing your attention to your dreams. I look forward to sharing our discoveries under the Full Moon.

I love this ritual of preparing for dreaming starting with each new moon. It gives us a fresh start, a new beginning every single month. What dreams is it time to tend? That’s the question that will guide us in creating our dreamboards for the Full Pink Moon. (If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s time to think about what you would love in abundance as you prepare for the Full Harvest Moon)

Isn’t it wonderful to mark the New Moon? It gives us a fresh start, a new beginning every single month. What’s stirring in you today? What dreams are emerging? These are the questions that will guide us in creating our dreamboards for the Full Worm Moon.

How are you liking that full moon name? There are other more beautiful names for this moon: the full crow moon, the full sugar moon. But regardless of its beauty (or lack thereof), the Full Worm Moon seems just right to me at this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere. This Full Moon presides over a time when those dreams and wishes that have been hibernating start to feel the energy of the returning sun and tickle at you. Something is ready to come alive. What’s stirring?

Often we come at our dreamboards from the other direction. We know we want to go to Paris or write a book or nourish our bodies or get a puppy and we actively search for those images, adding them to the board and energizing that dream. This is a powerful process! Amazing things can happen. It’s also interesting to see what unexpected messages show up if you let your intuition create the board. (By the way, I created Soul Reflections with exactly that purpose in mind. It takes you through the creation and decoding journey, helping you discover the hidden messages on your board)

It’s the New Moon and that means here at Jamie Ridler Studios it’s time to start gathering your images and inspirations for this month’s Full Moon Dreamboard. One of the reasons I so enjoy this process is that it keeps us connected to the cycles of the moon herself and also to the turn of the seasons. Tuning into these global rhythms, we can feel the connection to one another, even across the hemispheres. I find it so reassuring to know that as some of us are heading into fall, some of us are welcoming spring.

For those of us approaching the Full Frost Moon, now is the time to deepen our dreams, growing powerful roots of support as we move into the colder months. Let’s choose to give our energy to the things that nourish our hearts and our lives, while releasing what no longer serves us. Let’s fill not only our dreamboards but also our calendars and lists with what we dream of.

Over the coming weeks, let your spirit guide you as you gather images. Be open to what shows up. Collect words, images, phrases that draw your attention. Let go of needing to know why. Perhaps new dreams are stirring, getting ready to be invited in to the New Year. Set aside some time to create your board and then come back and share on November 10th, the Full Frost Moon.

Free Workshop: How to Make a Dreamboard, part 1 and part 2

It’s the new moon, time to start gathering your supplies and setting your intentions, time to seek out the images that speak to you this month. Check your calendar and be sure to set aside creation time. Then come back here on October 12th to share your dreamboard under the Full Harvest Moon.

What harvest do you want to invite into your life? As you go about your preparations, ask yourself, “What would I like an abundance of?”

Whatever our dreams this month, let’s also take time to give thanks in our hearts for all the wishes and dreams that have moved ever closer, some even arriving for us to enjoy and celebrate!
