Creative Living Valentine’s Practice: Gather Love

February 14, 2013

Happy Valentine’s Day!

To celebrate Valentine’s, let’s take a moment to gather love. All you need is something to write on, something to write with and the love that’s in your heart. I chose to write in my journal and used a couple of sparkly pens. (In the video I also show how you can just grab an index card or scrap paper and go!)

Once you have your supplies, it’s time to create a Love Page. As a little extra, I started by cutting the shape of a heart from a pretty red picture in a magazine and glued it in the centre of my page. You could draw a heart, add some heart stickers or just start with a blank page. The key is to keep it simple.

Now, give yourself a minute or two to start writing down all you can think of that you love and everyone who loves you. Just let it flow from your heart to the page. Don’t worry about getting everything in there or making it perfect. Just give yourself the joy of gathering and celebrating what you’re loving in this moment.

My Love List included…

I found myself smiling as every new love-thought came to mind.

It only takes a moment to create a beautiful reminder of this precious time and all the love that’s available to you.

More than that, spending even a few minutes with love begins to open your heart.

It isn’t about creating a perfect page or a work of art. It’s simply about connecting to love. Enjoy the process!

what a great way to start the day —- As I recover from surgery, I find that being grateful and positive is such a healing balm – and now to put on paper all the things I love and perhaps all that love back brings that positive energy into a more powerful focus. I make a yearly notebook with room for all kinds of art, writing, pondering, wishes and dreams – this will fit perfectly !!
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY !
