with nine children, there is always beauty and inspiration. I’d loved to learn how to document it well and share it.

I love to bring a bit of my world on my early morning walk to my friends online.

Kate December 14, 2010 at 2:08 pm

I find beauty and inspiration online! I am constantly blown away by all the creative and inspiring souls out there… They, in turn, remind me to look within and at home…and find it in the sun rays coming through the window, my warm eggnog latte, and the giggle of a loved one.

I find beauty and inspiration in the quiet of nature, the stillness of a fresh snow, the bright sun on a super cold day. I also find beauty and inspiration in the random–for example, finding a random hour to listen to this absolutely fabulous and inspirational podcast. Thanks!! The present really is the present. xx

I find inspiration where in my home and my local surroundings. My husband has created a beautiful garden which gives me lots of opportunity to take photos of the wonderful flowers. We live walking distance to a wonderful parkland where there is an abundance of wildlife. We have a local village with great coffee shops. Charmaine Melbourne Australia

Thanks so much for the chance to win! I would say like Darrah I find so much beauty and inspiration in the details.. I have been doing project 365 this year and it’s often been the moments of just my everyday reality that I have been able to find something beautiful and inspiring that I would have let pass me by.. I would say that the permission to be a photo geek in my life has been one of the best gifts i have given myself this year..

I just listened to this show and wow, it is inspiring. Thanks to you both! I am very impressed with the leap of fait and the courage that Darrah has starting a business of her own that quick!

I find beauty and inspiration in the little things that surround me, like the saffron bun and coffee I’m having right now. Must get camera, right now! :-)

Can’t wait for the opportunity to listen – to soak in the inspiration. And I appreciate the opportunity to win the Slice of Life ecourse.

I loved the podcast this week! Thanks for the chance to win a spot in the e-course!

I find inspiration in the simple moments and the little details. Everyday things like a quiet morning with my tea, or sunlight coming in through my curtains, or a meal I create.

I find inspiration in the moments of human life that are raw, unscripted, and real. In walking to the market. In rallies and protests. In moments of solitude. In dreams. In watching my cats chase one another. In winter frost. In my heart.

I find inspiration in every moment. It’s sometimes overwhelming. But amazing.

Thanks for the inspiration!

I find beauty in my succulent garden. The plants are so vibrant, juicy, expressive and healing. I love having them in my office and taking close ups of their succulence.

Totally inspiring to listen to this podcast-great interview Jamie and Darrah! I find beauty and inspiration everyday tucked into the cracks of life: My husband’s crooked smile, the crackled glaze on the ginger snaps I’m scarfing up, the crumbled sidewalk fissures used as ant interstate highways, and all the little scars I carry on the outside of my body and the inside as well.

I, too, thoroughly enjoyed this Podcast ~ thank you Darrah for sharing this aspect of your life with us – and Jamie for being such a delightful space for shimmery Spirits to emerge.

I have been so drawn to blog sites of others that feature stunning photography (I think so, anyway) and personal reflection. It led me to pick up my daughter’s camera a few months ago, learn the basics – and take pictures of my own.

If Jamie were to ask me what Eyes I wear while writing and looking through the camera ~ I’d say, the eyes of Essence. I find powerful inspiration on what is not shared in conversation, what is not seen when a person knows or senses you are looking at them; the quiet moments when people feel unobserved and their Essence has room to emerge.

Some of my favourite parts of books are what’s not written on the page, but what permeates and wafts between the lines – I also appreciate the white spaces in Art.

My word for 2011 is Adventure. I rejected it the moment it bubbled up from somewhere within, because I’m not Adventurous. And then, I realized that I might be, if I allow space for that aspect of my Self to emerge.

I’d love to participate in the gift Darrah’s offering ~ and learn how to accompany my written reflections with images of Essence whose meaning will differ depending on who is looking at it.

Thank you for the inspiring time I’ve just spent here – and good luck to all!!

When I am fully present in the moment, I see the beauty that surrounds me. I admire Darrah’s bravery as she followed her instincts and passion to leave the day job and start her own creative biz. Way to go!

There is so much about photography that I would love to learn. Thanks for the opportunity to win this eclass.

I find inspiration in my childhood. There is something so precious, so raw, so genuine and so untarnished about the imagination and potential of children. As children, we dream wildly. We play hard. We laugh long. We don’t care who’s looking. We don’t worry about what others think. We get back up when we fall. We take pleasure in the smallest joys. We believe. We love. We rest comfortably in who we are. When I am able to reconnect with that mischievious, confident, grinning, dreaming, sparkling child and see life through her eyes again, the beauty abounds.

Thank you for this podcast. I never cease to be amazed at how each one resonates with me in some way.

Lisa December 17, 2010 at 10:06 pm

To be totally honest, I haven’t been feeling very inspired lately. Hopefully, I’ll win the giveaway and find my muse again lol. I do still find beauty in the way that natural light plays on objects and how the way we perceive that object can change as the light moves.

Johanne December 19, 2010 at 12:21 am

Nature and natural elements, whether in an urban or country setting are a major source of inspiration for me. I am also drawn to textured or weathered surfaces and love to focus on these seemingly unimportant aspects of our surroundings. There are also these moments of every day life that reveal meaning beyond what meets the eye, like visual metaphors. Many are short lived and are difficult to capture on camera, but what a thrill when one is at the right place at the right time.

Thank you for the podcasts, I really enjoy hearing about other creative journeys.
