Show Notes…

  • I mentioned that The Next Chapter book blogging group had an awesome time going through Wreck this Journal. You can find the book here and follow our journey here.
  • Keri mentions the impact of Bruce Mau’s Incomplete Manifesto.
  • Here is the quote Keri was referring to is by Wendell Berry: “”Always in big woods, when you leave familiar ground and step off alone to a new place, there will be, along with feelings of curiosity and excitement, a little nagging of dread. It is the ancient fear of the unknown, and it is your bond with the wilderness you are going into. What you are doing is exploring. You are understanding the first experience, not of the place, but of yourself in that place. It is the experience of our essential loneliness, for nobody can discover the world for anybody else. It is only after we have discovered it for ourselves that it becomes common ground, and a common bond, and we cease to be alone.”  The Unknown Wilderness

So I wonder what Jamie is going to do to help her now that she has reached maximum?! Curious!

What a fabulous interview, I am so excited two super inspiring women got to chat together and we got to listen. How beautiful is it that Keri is still standing up to fear and living her life according to her ethics and doing great?!

Funny, I was most at home in the wilderness. If I am supposed to go where I am scared, no wonder I am where I am right now.
