About Jennifer…

Jennifer Schildknecht, also known as Moon Mama (ask her), is proud to proclaim herself a perpetual WORK –IN- PROGRESS (or as they say in Swahili– kazi katika maendeleo….everything sounds so much lovelier in Swahili doesn’t it?) and loves the “Yes I Can” journey she’s started on!

Jennifer, a  “multi-media” artist….mixed-media just doesn’t cover it—occasionally teaches art classes here and there, but dreams of her own place for holding workshops and art retreats. She lives in rural north Georgia with her husband Tim, 2 of her 5 children, 2 neurotic dogs and a magical black cat named Jezebel.

If you are interested in participating in Jennifer’s quilt project, she has extended the deadline to April 30th. Email Jennifer for more details or to participate.

Special Offer: Jennifer has generously offered 20% off any of the Encouraging Words series on my Etsy site, Whither Thou Goest.   Just let me know you’re a friend of Jamie’s.

Show Notes…

  • I mentioned attending a conference led by Andrea J Lee.
  • I also shared what me and Captain Picard have in common.
  • Once again I mentioned morning pages and The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.
  • Jennifer mentions her husband, the Canadian.
  • You can learn more about the Georgia Theater, it’s history or what’s going on with rebuilding efforts  at their website, www.GeorgiaTheater.com.
  • Read the Last Call guidelines for submission to the Phoenix Rising Georgia Theater Art Quilt Project here.
  • Jennifer and her project were featured in Online Athens.

If you liked this, you’ll probably like…

  • Jennifer recommends:
    • “My friend Teresa of Maggie Grace World, who reminds me regularly (even through her jewelry!) that YES I CAN!”
    • “Lisa Rough Sacred Circle Creative Coaching who also reminds me Yes I Can and who’s taught me that even though I’m meant to shine brightly, it’s ok to just be human”
  • Artists online who have inspired Jennifer to accept her “human-ness”— pain, depression, fear, being judgmental, or just feeling uninspired sometimes

Hi Jamie, thank you for sharing your conversation with Jennifer. When she talked about “kicking fear out the door”, it really struck a chord with me; I think it’s time I told fear to pack its bags & leave me alone! Hope you have a great week.
