These are MuseCubes “the 30-second break that shakes you free!” What clever, sparkling, creative simplicity by Gretchen Wegner, who many of you will recognize as one of the wrecking crew for Wreck this Journal. These lovely babies are handmade with love by Gretchen and friends and they are designed to inspire.
One way stir creative thinking is to bring together concepts or ideas and see what happens when they hang out. Gretchen has done that in a delicious and beautiful way with MuseCubes. Each side has a verb and you get 2 cubes. So whenever you need to shake things up a bit, just toss and play with the results. Every roll gets your body involved and shifts your energy. Here’s what happened when I rolled “Sigh” and “Dance”:
Sigh Dance inspired by MuseCubes from Jamie Ridler on Vimeo.

How utterly delicious! The combination of sighing and dancing would be a wonderful way to start the day…letting go of any cobwebs or expectations…starting the day with a fresh set of eyes. Or perhaps ending the day with joyful release of all that we accumulate throughout the day…….
Thank you for the beauty.
Oh, Jamie. This is so, so beautiful. I love how you added music to set the tone — and my body really “got” the sigh and the dance that you took on so fully. Wow.
You know, I almost didn’t keep the word “dance” on the cubes, because some people find it a bit intimidating. But I decided to keep it, and you just proved to me why I’m glad I did.
Thanks for your gorgeous, sparkling, self!!
I love this so much I’m speechless! WANT!
oh Jamie! your smile in the video is so contagious!

*Sigh*
Beautiful Jamie.
I loved sign and dance! How brillant!
Jamie you are such an inspiration……so cute dancing and not afraid to do so in front of the camera….do you realize how many would be so inhibited and not even able to be free enough to do that? Wonderful post!
Hi Jamie and Gretchen,
Wow, that little piece broke me out of a negative mood. I like the playfulness of the cubes. I want to pick one up. Jamie, I’ve wanted to see you move ever since you started to write about Nia. It’s really neat to see how limber and relaxed and present you are in your movement.
I just received my Muse Cubes in the mail…what fun! And Jamie, it was so nice to see you MOVE…loved you Sigh Dance.
what delightful music! i could almost see tiny spiders scaling up and down sparkling cobwebs clearing out my own earthbound thoughts just for the moment! what a great thing to do upon arrising!
mucho bravo!
