Resonated a lot, I used to dance. I mean dance dance. I miss it (and I learn to accept that just having unexpected silly dance parties, alone or with my family, is part of what I need. now).
thank you thank you
I have a lot of dreams and visions of me dancing. One of my remembered past lives are when I was a little girl around the 1700′s. I’m dancing in a circular room that overlooks the ocean.
In this lifetime though, I never learned to dance. I wish I had. It looks fun. No one ever took the time to teach me though. My daughter loves to dance too. Before our move to Ohio she was in dance classes. I think it can be a very spiritual experience to move your body and give yourself over to that feeling of peace and tranquility through spiritual dance.
Thanks for sharing…..joy, bliss, contact with joy, contact with source…..
“I love the connection. It’s what you have with your partner when you dance.” This was beautiful! Thank you!
I see and hear what everybody is experiencing, and yet I’ve never ever felt dance in my body. Not even as a small child where I was made to do one season of dance classes at 4. People tell me “just let your body do what it wants when it hears the music”. Well, it doesn’t seem to want to do anything, and of course if I try to make it, it’s just awkward and I can’t think of something to do with all my parts at the same time. Odd, isn’t it? Because I do seem to be missing out on a lot of stuff, not just in the community but also in myself, if what you’re saying is true.
Beautiful. I have just re-discovered dance; it is like falling in love with my self…step by step (or shimmy by shimmy *grin*).
