The Power of a Dream Box

February 15, 2013

in Dream

For years I’ve been keeping a dream box…

Dream Box

It’s just a simple cardboard box covered with images that inspire me with a little mail slot where I can deliver my dreams to the Universe. I might write a note and send it. I might tear something out of a magazine and drop it in. And then I forget about it. Completely.

Of course, I used a big box for big dreams!

With the studio refresh, I decided to free up some shelf space and let the box go. I put these beautiful pictures in my journal and decided to peruse my earlier dreams.

Imagine my absolutely amazement when I found this…

Sometimes, all you have to do is dream…

Awesome! Something similar happened to me with a letter I wrote once about my dream life. What had me in stitches was, that the things I thought were missing or annoying in my life when I found the letter again, were the things I hadn’t described properly in it!!

Love this, Jamie! And, I love your idea of a box with a mail slot to mail your dreams to the universe! A beautiful thing to do!

I love this idea!! Reminds me of something that happened to me years ago. I was driving down a street and saw a huge old Georgian style house for sale with a huge front porch and big sunny backyard. Huge trees in the front that shaded the front of the house and I fell in love. I sighed and wish I could live in that house. Later that night I wrote about the house in my journal and dreamed of it that night. Then promptly forgot the house existed since it was out of the whelm of possibilities in my life. Six months later I get a phone call from my landlord …”I have a special offer for you!. I’ve had my previous personal home on the market for over a year with no takers and I don’t want it to set empty any longer. I will rent it to you for your current apartment rental amount and give you a 2 year lease at that rate,” He gave me the address and told me to stop at his office pick up the keys and take a look at the house. It was my DREAM HOUSE!!!! Totally remodeled on the inside …landlord was an Interior Decorator by trade…. and it was more beautiful on the inside than I had imagined. I move in the next month and lived there for 5 wonderful years!!!!

Jamie. I never have thought to make a dream box (but it is now on my to make list) I have had several dreams for the last couple of years. (Yes, I know we all do) One of my dreams just came true! Hope lots of you have your dreams come true.
