Full Moon Dreamboard: The Full Corn Moon

What a powerful time. It’s the Full Corn Moon – bountiful, plentiful, celebratory. In the Northern Hemisphere we’re in the last days of summer, enjoying the power of the sun before it wanes. And in the Southern Hemisphere you’re welcoming the sun back! A golden time. The moon is also in Pisces today, bringing a deep connection to the sacred and sensitivity to the world around us.

So under this particular moon, at this particular time, what are you inviting into your life? How will you shine your own light in the world? What are you dreaming of?

Just wanted to let you know that this is the first dreamboard I have participated in and the experience has been great. I am so glad to have done it. Thanks for your comments. I am also looking forward to The Joy Diet book discussion-I already ordered my book and it should arrive any day now.

I just want you to know that I couldn’t wait to get home from work this evening to put my dreamboard together, which gave me something fun to look forward to through the stress of getting a legal brief ready to go in the mail today. Thank you, as always, for bringing us together every month to launch our dreams. :)

This month’s dreamboard was really special for me. Thanks for inspiring us, Jamie.

This is the first time I’ve participated, as I was waiting for my main blog to be finished, but I decided to use my scratch blog and just dive in. The Corn Moon was waiting for me. Thank you for this prompt and this sacred space! I enjoyed taking the time to direct my energies for the month and moon ahead. <3

Happy Full Moon to EVERYONE!!!

Your Dreamboard is awsome, and it’s good if you can find yourself some “ground” elements from one Dreamboard to the other :)

Miss Becky September 7, 2009 at 2:10 pm

thank you all for the beautiful, inspiring comments about my first dreamboard. I thought I would be shy about sharing, but that hasn’t been the case at all.
I have visited almost all of the sites, and plan to see each and every dreamboard; I am finding much joy in travelling from site to site. best hopes for all of your shining dreams!

Jamie, I’ve been wanting to do a dream board for ages. I’m not a magazine reader. Where does one get magazines for your inspiration to do a cut an paste? Any time I’ve seen magazines for free at a yard sale or something, they’re usually Chatelain or Business magazines or rreader Digests. I’ve leafed through and never seem to find any appealing images. Is ther a certain magazine that you recommend looking for? Thanks!

Stacey September 9, 2009 at 4:24 pm

Thanks so much for inspiring so many! This has been fun two weeks in a row!

Jamie Ridler September 9, 2009 at 6:31 pm

Karmacoy, you don’t have to rely on magazines to make a dreamboard. You could collect things on a bulletin board. You could paint one yourself. You could do one online using a site like Polyvore or using Mosaic Maker (I have links for these in the Dreamboard FAQ). But if you do want to use magazine images, I say take yourself on a date to the bookstore, pick a couple that call you and use them specifically for this purpose. Finding which magazines inspire you can be a part of the journey!
