Mimi certainly has a creative soul. It's as if she thinks creatively all of the time, even when she is out for the night. I love the story about where she got the inspiration for her tattooed men. The waitress had a large tattoo on her back. She was able to interpret that idea into her work in an amazing way.
The other thing that struck me was her comment that she can't be a minimalist. It seems to me that when I'm being creative, I need to be surrounded by my inspirations and their products. I struggle with this constantly because I want my home to be neat, but I need to see my work and my materials. When I store materials away, I loose track of them. "Now where did I put that paint box?" I lost my favorite ruler this way.
I am rambling a bit, sorry Jamie ;-)

That was wonderful - thanks Jamie! I love how all the pieces finally came together when she started making dolls and how EVERYTHING informs and inspires what she does.
