Funnily enough I heard this on the radio again the other day and marvelled at the lyrics. I first began to admire Joni when I really listened to the words of ‘Both sides now’ – pure poetry and amazing when you consider how young she was when she wrote it – how did she amass so much experience to share in poetry at such a young age? She was an old head on young shoulders and probably now an old head on young shoulders!!
I absolutely love her voice – so crystal clear and gently moving. What a great thing to watch/hear today!

I love this little blast from the past and truly admire the path Joni Mitchell has taken, tough though it is, because she’s been so completely committed to creativity.
I just spent a half an hour looking at Joni videos. Thanks a lot. She is one of my heroes. And I love that she is a painter, too. I was recently told that one of my paintings is hanging in a room with one Joni’s. Isn’t that cool? You never know where a painting will end up.
i love this, jamie! what a delicious way to start my morning. but i can’t help but wonder how all those people sitting there can’t keep themselves from dancing!!
