Painting from the Wild Heart from Peter Lee on Vimeo.

Within moments this video brought tears to my eyes and inspired me to take out my easel. In this thought-full video by the amazing Wild Heart Queen, Chris Zydel, shares her intuitive painting class, showing the power of the creative process. This beautiful, aliveness, this vital healing energy is available to you right now by simply allowing yourself some time and freedom for to connect to your own creative spirit, free of judgment or concern about the end product. Let yourself dance, paint, draw, sing. It’s a beautiful way to remember who you are.

To find out more about Chris, her website is Creative Juices Arts. You can also find her on Twitter at www.twitter.com/wildheartqueen.

And some of you may have noticed the wonderful Jennifer Lee of Artizen Coaching in the class. Hi, Jenn!

You’re so right. What an inspiring little film. When she talks about a 4-year-old not questioning whether they have artistic talent it’s like a wake up call! I’ve allowed myself a bit of this freedom lately and it has been so liberating. I’ve just been ‘creating’ and loving it. And do you know where it started? Wreck this Journal!!! So thank you Jamie!!!!

hey girl.
i loved this video.
and i have been thinking about offering a similar creative healing class myself for years and more intensely recently. combining breathing, movement, poetry, sound and art/collage.
how delightful to see another creative soul doing the same.
it’s another nudge from the universe for me too (“do it, moe,” the universe says to me).
thank you for sharing this!

This is a great video. I couldn’t help but think, in inserting myself into this class in my imagination, how difficult I would find it to let go of my competitiveness and need to produce an end result that was better than others. And I can guarantee that on any objective basis my end result would be worse!! ;-)

Awesome Jamie – It’s amazing and I can envision you leading a group of “dreamboarder” in the same type way.
I’ve learned to be more accepting of my art through dreamboards and your THE NEXT CHAPTER projects. I used to be too self-concious because I’m not really good at creating art – but you’ve helped me let go of that and just write, create, and accept myself and be comfortable with what I accomplish.
So thanks for that!

Much thanks for sharing this with us, Jamie! I too couldn’t help thinking of the similarity to the shared Wreck This Journal experience – like another of ’31 flavors’ of ice cream! Plus, this was another layer of affirmation for a nip of yearning I’ve had to participate in a program Chris Zydel offers but have been skeptical about who she is. Again, thanks!

Thanks for sharing this video! It makes me want to jump off the couch and start painting.

My mom teaches art to adults. Her class is called, “No Fear Art,” and she works with her students to unravel the expectations they have for their art and find the pure joy that art can provide. I am sending this video to her right away. I know that it will be an inspiration to her.

This is a great video. I have been to art retreats where they did something similiar, it is transfomational.
Peace
