Shamsi September 14, 2009 at 10:43 am: LOL, OMG – yes, so this song has been ‘haunting’ me for about the last 3 weeks. My Sig-O and I had heard it on the radio a few weeks ago, we sang (total goofballs) as loudly as we could and *mostly* stay in pitch. I then got home early on a Wednesday not long after (which I haven’t done in years because of teaching on that night) and so got to see “Glee” for the first time… the S.O. totally nailed this one, he said “it’s gonna be ‘Don’t Stop Believing’.” There was no arguing, I knew he was right. The next morning the S.O. called me at work to let me know that the new singer for Journey (who is currently touring) sounds *just like* Steve Perry… and they had just sung “Don’t stop believing.”

:) Yup, there is definitely something to be said for belting out a song with these lyrics and just the right amount of “pop cheese” in the chord progressions… Just makes you feel a little like anything is possible.
