It’s been a joy to have Cynthia at the live Full Moon Dreamboard events in Toronto! As you can see, this woman’s got a twinkle in her eye and some dreaming to share! I’m thrilled to feature Cynthia and her dreams! Jamie

What are you creating in the world?

I am creating space to choose my own adventure and practice living on purpose. While I lovingly describe my own life on purpose as whole-hearted authentic, crazy, I believe that this approach to thoughtful, anti-auto pilot living gives permission for my clients and people in general to do the same. There is so much goodness to be had by putting on your Sherlock Holmes hat, searching and finding clues, and creating the story of your life on purpose. This practice shifts things. It moves you in the direction (and often, right in the path of) of your desires in an earnest way that just flows.

How have Full Moon Dreamboards helped?

Full Moon Dreamboards have put structure and infused my dream boarding practice with renewed creativity. Marking the passage of time with a creative, explorative activity that puts my singular life in focus is a wonderful ritual: I cherish it.

I have to admit that I struggle with giving myself permission to dream, with stopping to listen to my heart and hearing its desires without applying a filter of practicality and trying to figure out the hows. This practice of simply sitting, allowing my mind to take a break, finding images that jump up at me and choosing them, without judgment, and then waiting to see what comes of it, is incredibly freeing. What’s the risk in that? Every single time I end up with a board full of images that: thrill and intrigue me, scare and challenge me, or surprise and delight me.

What have you learned about yourself?

I have learned how important creative expression is for me, seen my desire to create a community, identified my entrepreneurial dreams, and overall, have a better understanding of the rhythm of my cycle of preparation and growth. I have had more specific learnings about events, activities, health and financial goals, which have also become clear through this practice. I really dig how, for as much as some of my dreams surprise me, they make sense and show up again and again until I give them the attention they demand.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

There is something simply magical about Jamie’s Full Moon Dreamboarding workshops. Being part of a group during this sacred process of honouring one’s dreams and desires creates so much energy! Sharing and being seen for your authentic self is a powerful thing. Combine that with the opportunity to see other people and their dreams and desires and you have a truly delicious event.

What would you like to celebrate?

I am totally celebrating spring. The bulbs that were planted in the fall are starting to poke up, I am spending time clearing out the dead leaves and stray weeds, readying the soil and dreaming of what to plant in the bare spaces. (Oh, how I love a nature metaphor, it makes life seem much more manageable.)
