As a part of Y is for Yellow, a course I am taking with Carla Sonheim, we are working on series creation. I was amazed at how much changed when I started to think in a series. I discovered more about my artistic voice and expanded my experience of working within a medium, in this case watercolours and marker on watercolour paper. I love the adventure this series took me on, an adventure to Wonderfill Forest. I hope you enjoy it too.
Jamie, these are lovely, lush, moody paintings!
A delightful series, Jamie! Love your color palette and the surprises in each piece.
Jamie, these are enchanting. Thanks for sharing. You inspire!!
The comments above are perfect – “enchanting” and “delightful,” indeed. And, I would add “magical” to that list. SO lovely. Thank you for sharing! :) xo
Absolutely astoundingly whimsical, fantastical and beautiful! All very Jamie things. :)
Would make a lovely storybook for children…..who wouldn’t find magic in these irresistible drawings?
Yes, very much like my Reverse Colouring Book© concept that allows you to shut off the ego and look for guidance from your deepest and truest self. The imagery that comes through is magic… self magic. http://reversecolouringbook.com I used this process to move through grief and it comes back in the most playful ways to guide me. I have published a whole book of backgrounds to those who are intimidated by the creation process and that want to move straight into the play and experience their inner most discoveries and conversations.
Wow, these are so magical! I thought right away of illustrations for a children’s book, just like Susan.
I expect a publisher to contact you any day now for a children’s book! When it happens I will be first in line for a copy. Love these!
