This is the second year that I have worked on what I call my Project 365 – a picture every day for a year. To celebrate 2008, I turned my pictures into a slide show that you can watch here. It will give you an idea of what the project is about.
I wasn’t sure whether I would move this project into my new home, which is why I didn’t post it last weekend. Somehow it feels right. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into my week and perhaps will be inspired to capture your own year. You don’t have to wait until New Years to start!

On the second Toronto dreamboard circle we celebrated the Full Buck Moon. This is the dreamboard that I made that day and that sits in front of me now as I type this.

The week before last, of course, I was spending every spare minute getting this site ready to launch. Okay, I did take a few minutes out for Wreck this Journal, as you can see.

Celebrating opening day!

The next day I had an awesome lunch with creative self-expression coach extraordinaire and my featured coaching client, Danette.

A bit exhausted but still feeling great, I went out to the movies with Shannon, the Movie Moxie, and watched Valentino: The Last Emperor. How cool is it to have a movie expert as a sister? Okay, it’s cool to have Shannon asĀ a sister regardless, but still.

My brother was in town for the weekend – woohoo – and so we all went out for breakfast in Kensington Market, a very cool Toronto neighbourhood filled with colours, sights and sounds (and fabulous french toast).

Though I’m fully settled into my online home, my studio space is lagging behind. Jinx is clearly helping by taking recycling detail.

This week I spent some time with the tarot, doing 2 readings that were prize giveaways for opening night.

For some reason I woke up with the sun, which gave me this awesome opportunity to capture Jinx, whom I’ve always called my sun cat, in her element. Bascha, who passed away last year, was my moon.

I had a delightful (though obviously blurry) lunch with my Mom this week. She brought me treats from Nova Scotia and her visit with Suzie. Wow, there’s been a lot of family time. I hadn’t actually realized that until right now! That’s one of the good reasons to do a project like this.

Thursday is also farmers market day and this week, Justin brought me peonies. What a glorious treat. I took about a million pictures of them already! I’m mad for peonies (and for Justin, hehe).

I’m sneaking in some extra Thursday shots because it was such a full day! I also went out with the incomparable Sabine Hikel, who was hot off an interview for her site Leaving Academia. The cool thing about Sabine is she’s an awesome business girlfriend, smart and savvy as all get out, plus hanging out with her feels like being with one of your bestest friends when you were 12 . She totally rocks.

I ended the week with a wonderful visit full of cuddles and purrs with the only boy cat in the family, Gobo aka Mr. Man.
Project 365 is my attempt to capture a year in my life through a photograph a day. On Saturday’s I’ll post the week’s pics. At the end of the year, I’ll create a video of all these precious moments. Feel free to participate at any time. Yours can be Project 347 or Project 292. It’s up to you.

That was a great slide show. Looks like you had an awesome year. And the kittys are adorable.
Thanks for sharing your busy life! Great pics:)
Wow Jamie,
I just love this post. It is full of life, of gratitude, of humility, of joy. You make such a beautiful dance with Life. This is what is interesting about Project 365. The objects themselves are usually interesting or lovely, but the important thing is the loving view of the photographer.
