I’m celebrating my birthday today! (Btw, so is the lovely Danette) I hope you’ll have a dance with me to celebrate. I wonder what this year will bring?

Under this Full Cold Moon, I’m a bit surprised to find so much more colour inviting itself onto my dreamboard. Then again, I always say that I surround myself with quiet colours because I’m so lively inside! And I’ve done that here too, with clear crystals and white around the edges and colour in the midst. I think the colour too represents how I love the coziness of year end, the tucking in and exploring our inner lives, the holidays, the dreaming, the candlelight and warmth. It’s interesting to see how red started to appear last month and is asserting even more of a presence here. Most powerfully, I see an embracing of my theatrical self, full of life, drama and magic. Presto!

As I look at my Full Frost Moon dreamboard, what I discover is balance. It wasn’t what I was thinking at all when I made it but it’s what I find coming off the page. Here’s what my dreamboard is inviting in this month:

By the way, I’m super excited to share that I’ll be launching an at-home version of my  Soul Reflections workshop in the coming month. The reason I mention it here is because it uses collage and journaling to help you connect to your inner compass and the stirrings of your soul – just like dreamboards! You could absolutely use it each month to guide you through the dreamboarding process. More to come soon!

One of my favourite things that Justin and I do together is go on a Saturday Morning Adventure. Sometimes we explore a new neighbourhood or check out something going on in the city. Sometimes, to a less-knowing eye, we might look like we’re doing “errands”, but it’s always an adventure. We haven’t been for a while so we made up for lost time by making a whole day of it this Saturday. Starting off in The Beaches area of Toronto for breakfast and a stroll.

We saw a man flying this amazing kite. I wish I’d got a shot of it in the air! Justin and I talked about making kites together one day and coming down here to watch them fly.

As we moved away from The Beach, we had a visit by this very alert and interested dog.

Next we toured a hip and up-and-coming neighbourhood called Leslieville. One of my favourite things in the world is looking at houses and when we do that, we always visit with the local cats.

We even managed to visit with a local horse.

And see some beautiful things.

And some interesting things.

And some things that made us laugh.

After all that walking, it was time to find a cool and cozy place for a meal.

And on the way home we picked up some luscious concord grapes. A wonderful treat to end a treat of a day.

Where will you go on your next adventure?

My dreamboard for the Full Harvest Moon.  What a joy it was to make it with a remarkable, warm, creative bunch of women in person in Toronto under the influence of this gorgeous full moon. I’ll write more about the circle tomorrow but wanted to launch my board with my online crew too!

I realize my boards are always very elemental: the fire in the hearth, the spaciousness of air, the groundedness of stone and wood, beckoning waters. When I look at this board I see both what I am yearning for and also the life I am creating for myself.

This dreamboard shows my desire for spaciousness, for a break away, for rejuvenation.  It expresses a full embracing of my love of luxury.  I am inviting more exquisite beauty, joy and abundance in.  And there are whole new vistas and horizons to explore. Many of which I believe I haven’t even imagined yet. Travel is definitely coming – beautiful, open places for decompression and inspiration. I see creative time and solitary time and a whole new perspective on time itself – acknowledging its depth and strength and richness. I see a real balance of masculine and feminine and a deep connection to spirit and self. And in this dreamboard is a request for loyal, dependable help.

What a gorgeous month it will be.

One of the benefits of doing these dreamboards as a regular practice is watching the trends emerge, starting to recognize your own personal symbolism as well as your aesthetic. I know, for example, that I’m drawn to the elements, that I love river rocks and trees and fireplaces and bowls filled with beautiful, colourful or interesting things.

But under this Full Corn Moon, I see much that is unfamiliar. Looking at it, I see just how much shifting is in process. There’s excitement  and beauty and challenge and change. I find grounding in the archway and the mirrors, in the white flowers and turtles. And I’m very aware of the bridge, the plane, the party and the new boots. I see the workshop space and travel and change. I see a fireplace but one that is waiting to be lit. I see a silhouette, an image of myself that is just coming to light. It’s going to be an interesting month.

Thinking about all of this, I really want to thank you all for being so loving, encouraging and supportive. For sharing with me how things like Wishcasting and Dreamboards have touched your life and your hearts. I am full of bliss, gratitude and purpose.It’s exactly that which makes I’m excited about what’s to come.

I’ve been staring at this dreamboard a lot since I made it. I was so excited to include the red fish as an honouring of the Full Sturgeon Moon.

Making these boards each month, you start to get a sense of your own aesthetic and symbolism. Here I recognize my love of white, blue and pink. I see my invitation to fire, water, earth and air. My love of mystery, wonder and spirit. I recognize my style and my loves. I see my wardrobe makeover and what I’m learning from it. I see a desire for self-nurturance and attention to vitality. I see my request for delectable, memorable moments. I see my attitude. I see the doors opening to a brand new phase of my life, one that I am stepping into.  I see a gentle step towards painting. I see the awakening of spirit and an offering of my gifts. I see beauty.

Over the next month I will see these things many times. As I sit here and write, my dreamboard is in front of me, inspiring me, reminding me. And each day I will think about what action I can take to honour at least one of these desires. I’m excited about what that might bring.
