5th Annual Shyne Like a Star Virtual Dance Party from Jamie Ridler

Let’s dance!

Dance is for everybody ~ and that means you too! So today, and every May 1st, please accept my invitation to the dance. It’s easy. Just take 15 minutes of your day, turn the music up and get your groove on.

Dance to greet your day.
Dance to greet your mailman.
Dance with the sun, the moon, the stars.
Dance with your honey, your self, your cat.
Dance on the subway, while waiting for the bus.
Dance while your tea is steeping.
Dance while your kids are sleeping.
Dance from the tips of your fingers to the soles of your feet.
Let your elbows dance. And your hips.
Dance in your own way.
Find your own groove.
There’s no way to get it wrong.
Just dance.

“I did pirouettes down the aisles between cubes at the office. My coworkers got a good laugh out of that…LOL” Brandi, The Joy Rebel

Share Your Dance

It would be great to hear about your dance! Tell your story! Take some pics! Last year we saw some great videos too!  Let’s share the dance!

I’ll be dancing with boxes I’ve not looked at for 4 years (since my divorce) as I prepare to move on in all senses of the word(s). Dancing with the past, dancing with the energy of things, dancing with the now, dancing with creating what’s next- always dancing – thanks Jamie

What a beautiful way to dance with time, Kathy. Here’s to dancing with life! I’m glad we’re dancing together.

We were dancing when I remembered the party, so I ran and got the camera and tripod and recorded us. hehe I’m trying to get the nerve to share.

Hi Jamie,
Just wanted to let you know that Greg and I just finished our dance in honor of you and Justin. We even threw in a few moves we learned several years ago in our ballroom dancing classes. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get him to video tape us. Maybe next year!!! Thanks for the fun.

I wasn’t brave enough to do a video but I had fun shocking my cat! Great fun Jamie!

Jamie I loved the Nia verve to your dance! I had fun choreographing a dance with my nephew on the backyard trampoline!

Sorry I missed the actual date but had a big grin on my face watching and listening Jamie. What fun! I’m creating a new website and you always bring the hipness of the virtual world to my screen. See you tomorrow in person! Let’s dance on Broadview to celebrate this amazing weather. :) xo
