In celebration of our Friday journey through Happy, I’d love to share with you two of my favourite things: spring and going for walks. I hope you’ll join me on a stroll through my neighbourhood.
Forsythias remind me of going on walks with my mom when I was little. I now do something I learned from her – name the plants as I go. Forsythia was the hardest one for me to say when I was a girl!
Daffodils were easier. Maybe that’s why they look so carefree! Things might have been different if they were jonquils!
This little front yard scene brought a smile to my face.
And so did a visit from this beauty.
And we finish off in my own backyard. Aren’t these amazing? I love how they look like little aliens… or puppets… or celery… maybe endive. And in truth this will be the most beautiful, gentle, shapely white bleeding heart. Soon. Very soon.
These moments of enjoyment have been inspired by our journey through The Happy Book! Come on over and share what made you happy this week.

I really enjoyed the bottom photo; like little hands reaching for some sun light.
I love seeing bleeding hearts come up – always a sign of spring – and they grow so fast! Love the way ferns unfurl too… Nice post Jamie!

Thanks for sharing! Spring has been so late and cold this year I thought it might never come back! But, despite the weather the plants keep on. I love the bleeding heart photo, so intriguing. Have a great weekend.
You know, I take a picture of those bleeding hearts every spring because they always amaze me!
