Every couple of weeks I film stART: Creating as We Go with my two sisters, Suzie and Shannon. We share our creative projects, from challenges to celebrations, and support each other’s creative lives. We hope we’ll inspire you to get creating too!
Welcome to May where the spring flowers are starting to bloom and it’s already very warm out in Suzie-land. On episode 62 of stART: Creating as We Go we chat about hitting out stride in projects, and also the difference between doing-mode and decision-mode. We would love to hear from you on what you are working on and how you find good fits too!
In this episode we mention:
- Carla Sonheim’s Y is for Yellow Class
- Making Art a Practice: In and Out of the Sketchbook with Cat Bennett
- Suzie’s overhead Foodie photography
- Jamie being a role model for Fresh Collective
- Keep on Keeping On like the song My Silver Lining by First Aid Kit.
Keep up-to-date with stART: Creating As We Go
I feel like a broken record. I love stART!
I love the various journeys you share, the laughter, the inspiration.
Shannon, love your quandary making me think about the artistic journey and how even the parts we don’t like are a part of the experience.
Jamie, I continue to be in awe about your series. You need to do a video and share the process.
Suzie, your face was literally glowing as you spoke about your love for pottery! I felt such joy in seeing your joy. It was contagious and encouraged me to stay the course. I will find that place, that momentum, that fit for me!
Love you gals!
Paula
I love your dress & boots combo Jamie and the philosophy of finding ‘good fits’ is fun. Suzie your pottery boxes are beautiful..you are inspiring me to try pottery again. I took a series on the wheel and did not love it..but then i tried a short class of free hand and really clicked with that. I’ve always wanted to return and explore more of the free hand and experiment with the glazing. Ahhhhhh so much possibility as you spoke of recently Jamie, what do you when you have TOO many ideas. Great topic.
