Writing, Dreamboards & Playing Guitar

Every weekday morning I invite you Behind the Scenes at my studio.

Today: A day of writing ahead, especially when it comes to sharing the magic of dreamboards. And then an evening of guitar – I’ve been practicing and working my way through discouragement.

Very pretty song, yay brave you for sharing! As I listened, I envisioned you playing softly while leading a guided meditation….! I get all dreamy and relaxed just thinking about it! :)

I felt the guitar was very meditative and calming. I love the color of your guitar, too. The indigo added an extra sensory experience to listening. I bet it feels good to hold it. Smoooooth. . . dear Jamie!

You asked us to write about dreamboarding… I love it because it is a way to give myself time to myself to “plan” caretively for the month ahead. The questions you ask, I answer every single one and I do the Dig Deep on one image, which is very powerful. To think about what I want–esp. how I want to FEEL in the near future, has been tremendously gratifying and foreshadowing in my life. I used to dreamboard sporadically, maybe once a year, maybe two or three right together, but then I would put it away and look at it years later. With the monthly, Year of Dreams, I create with me and for me once a month. It is a sanctuary. I clip my dreamboard over my calendar and it becomes the “picture” for the month. It sets me up each morning in a perfect place. The entire process is the best thing I have done for my creative work. I never would have guessed it. Ever. But now, I start two weeks prior, at the New Moon and am all in. I look forward to a new intro! Let me know if you have any specific questions that might help you as you write it! Wishing you well, adrea

Adrea! Thank you from my heart for sharing your experience with Dreamboarding! It means the world to me. I’m so glad it has been a blessing and a sanctuary for you! ((bighugs))

Oooh Jamie… Thank you for playing your guitar for us! All I could think of was the sensitivity and emotion that came through. If you think of the guitar as an extension of your heart and soul… and let your message of love and light flow through your hands… and the guitar simply becomes your tool/medium… perhaps that will help.I loved it Jamie… you are at the beginning of a gift of yours that you are nurturing!

    • Jamie says:

Thank you so much, Rene! You know, it’s my sensitivity that sometimes makes it a challenge to play so I’m delighted to hear it’s also a blessing in my playing! :)
